Nestled in the heart of Middedorp, Langebaan, Topolino Pre-Primary is a hidden gem rooted in the rich history of the old Langebaan tennis courts. Since 2012, Topolino Private School has proudly managed and transformed the beloved “Pikkieland” school into a vibrant early childhood development centre where young learners can grow, explore, and thrive.

Surrounded by mature trees and safely tucked away in the heartbeat of our town, our pre-primary campus offers a secure and nurturing environment for children from 18 months to Grade R. Electronic access-controlled gates provide peace of mind, while the moment you step through our doors, you are welcomed into what we fondly call the “Love Zone” – a place where childhood is celebrated and learning happens naturally through play, discovery, and meaningful relationships.

At Topolino Pre-Primary, we believe in returning to the fundamentals of Early Childhood Development. Our approach is practical, purposeful, and filled with wonder. Rather than focusing on formal classroom work, we encourage children to move, climb, build, imagine, create, explore, and play. Through these experiences, they develop the physical, emotional, social, and cognitive foundations required for future academic success.

Our expansive outdoor play areas include tree-filled spaces, hammocks, a dollhouse, mud kitchens, sand play zones, and a wide variety of sensory apparatus that rotates regularly to keep young minds engaged and stimulated. Learners are encouraged to interact with nature, explore their surroundings, and develop confidence through active, hands-on experiences.

We offer both English and Afrikaans classes with a favourable learner-to-teacher ratio of 20:1, ensuring every child receives the attention, care, and support they deserve. Our staff are carefully selected and purposefully placed, chosen not only for their qualifications but for their passion for nurturing young hearts and minds.

A variety of enriching extra-mural activities are available, including Rugga Roots, Swift Netball, Playball, Music Classes, and Audioblocks, providing opportunities for learners to develop physically, creatively, and socially.

Topolino Pre-Primary is also home to our Aftercare Centre. Because many of the aftercare staff form part of the pre-primary team, children experience a seamless transition from school to aftercare each day, creating a familiar, comforting, and secure environment.
